For most of his career, Terry operated in sales - a world where every conversation is a decision point, and the ability to read what is actually happening beneath the surface separates the good from the exceptional. He learned early that the most important variable in any high-stakes conversation was not the product, the market, or the data. It was the quality of thinking happening in the room.
What he did not understand until much later was that he was applying that same lens to himself - and often getting in his own way. He had the capabilities. He had the experience. And yet, at pivotal moments, decisions were harder than they should have been. The clarity he could see in others was harder to access in himself.
That recognition sent him toward coaching. He trained with MindValley and became a certified Positive Intelligence (PQ) coach - studying the science of how mental saboteurs hijack performance, judgement, and decision-making in otherwise capable people.
ClearSignal was born from a simple observation: most leaders do not struggle because they lack capability. They struggle because the environment surrounding their decisions - the noise, the pressure, the unspoken expectations - makes it hard to hear what they already know. Terry’s work is to help them hear it again.
